Monthly visit. Salons booked in advance get a 20-minute on-site service window — Matt arrives, services scissors at the salon while you keep cutting in your spare pair, leaves with everything sharpened, tensioned and tested. No post-back, no chair downtime.
If the monthly cadence doesn't suit your roster, drop scissors in Ballarat (workshop) for next-rotation pickup.

Do you sharpen Japanese premium scissors specifically?
Yes. The majority of professional scissors we service in Sunshine are Japanese ATS-314 or Cobalt steel. We restore them on Japanese water stones, in-house, by hand. Generic mobile-grinders often refuse Japanese premium because the technique is slow.
What about thinning and texturising scissors?
Tooth-by-tooth in-house service — yes. We're one of few sharpeners in Sunshine that does proper thinner work rather than just edge-grinding the outside of the teeth.
